Democratic Republic of Congo - Orphanage 

Conversation with Missionary, Innocent: 

Innocent: “Please come to the aid of these babies in need of milk.” 

Barb Jacobsen: “Innocent, why does one orphanage have so many babies?” 

Innocent: “Because it is close to the maternity hospital. So, if mothers run away from their baby, then they bring to the nearest orphanage.” 

Barb Jacobsen: “Why are mothers running away?” 

Innocent: “Because of the high cost of living the man run away. Then the woman doesn’t have the means to care for the baby. Her only option is to run away from the hospital and leave the baby. There is no government support for the mother or the baby.”
